Privacy Policy — Brain Vault

Last updated: May 28, 2026
The short version: DayDraft keeps everything you write on your own device. We don't have a server that stores your notes, tasks, or captures. We don't track you. We don't sell anything. The only thing we ever collect is your email — and only if you choose to join the Pro waitlist.

What we store, and where

Everything you create in DayDraft — your captures, tasks, streaks, XP, motivation style, and goals — is saved locally on your device using your browser's storage (localStorage). It never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

This means:

The Pro waitlist (the one exception)

If you choose to enter your email address to be notified when DayDraft Pro launches, we collect:

This information is submitted through Netlify Forms, our hosting provider. We use it for one purpose only: to email you when Pro becomes available. We will not spam you, and we will never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.

You can ask us to delete your email from the waitlist at any time — see "Contact" below.

What we don't do

Permissions

DayDraft may ask for a couple of optional device permissions, only when you use the related feature:

Children's privacy

DayDraft is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because your content lives only on your device, you are always in full control of it — you can edit or delete any of it at any time within the app. For the Pro waitlist email, you may request access or deletion by contacting us.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of DayDraft after changes means you accept the updated policy.
